Maerdy windfarm is an eight turbine wind farm on land adjacent to the disused Maerdy Coal tip, north of Maerdy and Treorchy, at the top of the Rhondda Valleys, south Wales.
The 198 hectares (ha) wind farm site is located on a plateau of upland rough grazing land and the turbines lie at a height of 400 – 453m above ordnance datum (AOD).
Maerdy windfarm was sold to Greencoat UK Wind in June 2014.
